    Hi,

I would like to know if NOD32 4.0 still includes the ability to block malicious domains using the HTTP scanner, as 3.0 did.

The reason for asking is that NOD32 seems to have become much less aggressive at blocking domains. I haven't seen it trigger even once so far in my testing, whereas 3.0 does so fairly competently when I used it some time ago.

Also, when submitting malware to ESET, is the viruslab interested in receiving the download URL of the sample as well, to be added into the domain block list?

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply.

So should malicious URLs be sent to the same email address that samples are submitted, or to a different department at tech support?

As far as I know, the internal blocker consists of IP's not URLs. For one to be blocked in needs to be inspected carefully that it is only a malicious hosting machine. Usually it's one IP/many malicious websites.

    Hello,

You can specify sites you would like to block by opening the ESET user interface, pressing the F5 key to open the Advanced Settings window, then selecting Web Access Protection → HTTP, HTTPS→ Address management in the left navigation pane.

    Regards,
