I am already using a AV and proposing to switch on to NOD.I do have some pass protected files of some random viruses.

As soon as I unzip files when there is an alert window for a user choice (leave or delete) ,I find the zip operation is choked whereas the AV I presently use brings out the threats one by one without interfering with the zip operation. This way only the specific files are targeted rather than the system.

What are the rules for automatic quarantine ,delete adopted by NOD?

ESET NOD32 3.0 provides three clearing level which you can choose in the options.
