I recently began seeing a strange yellow icon in the task bar. It shows up after I play a game. It disappears whenever I touch it with the cursor. Could it be a remanent of the uninstall of Webroot Firewall? Has anyone else seen this?

    Hello,
How about you hover the mouse over it and not actually click it.
    Maybe there's a tooltip.

I think it's not a virus. But you may scan your computer

Scanned it and had no positives. Just to be sure, I restored an older clean image. No problems now. I probably was just something left over from a removed program but I would rather be safe than sorry.

    Thanks for the replies.

I have a somewhat similar phenomenon regarding an icon that disappears when I point to it. When I boot up sometimes, a "HP" (or Hewlett Packard) icon appears on my system tray. It disappears on its own after about a minute when the system is booted up. When I move the cursor over to it before the minute is up, it disappears every time. I think it is related to an internal routine to contact the HP website to obtain system updates if they are available. On a few occassions, I do get a pop up window asking to contact the HP site to check for updates. Since I was never able to click on that icon, I cannot be definitely sure if they are related or not. o_O

    Are you referring to this?

Does the game generate Dolby stereo audio?
