Reminds me of the classic tale of the guy in the Chinese restaurant who was served "peeking duck".

    While I seldom eat wings (they aren't very healthy) ... when I do - I enjoy homemade Franks/butter - 1/3parts ... excellent. :D

    Wow.

I never had homemade sausages. They must taste heavenly. :)

I don't even eat Sausages from the store anymore, because of the unhealthyness.
I like Soyburgers (BOCA) & Sausages instead. Trust me....they ARE delicious !! :D

Are you serious (never made homemade wings or sausages) ? .... Actually I've never tasting anything better than Jean's homecooking (Believe it or not she's not behind me ATM) ... She's a wonderful cook ... I've never tasted anything better! :) She's a master .... health conscience too .... we rarely eat anything that's unhealthy - althought it tastes like it (wings if I'm lucky twice a year  ). :) ( I know you're all jealous - But She's all mine. :D )

German food is great isn't it? :D There was a German restaurant that I went to with my high school German teacher a couple of times while we learned about German culture. I'd love to go back if it's still there.

Well, not like I imagine YOU have it. I buy them already made and packaged in the store ~~ I don't grind up whole meats in lil bits and pieces in a meat grinder, and then add my own additives to it lol ! :D
Thats waayy too much work for me. :p

But yeah, when I DO make sausages, then mostly I add either hot mustard OR..like in my hometown, paprika, currypowder and then ketchup on top.

The PERFECT junk food for me. :D

But I'm pretty health conscious too...soooo thats why I have a good tasting alternative to real sausages. ;)

You are a lucky 'dog' for having a great cook as your wife !! :)

Enjoy your "Indulge night" today ! *puppy* :) :) *puppy*

Sadly, although I'm in the middle of a huge German (Mennonite) area, there isn't a single decent German restaurant around. Or at least not one that's even heard of my personal favorite, sauerbraten.

Oktoberfest here is supposed to be the biggest in the world, outside Munich itself. But "authentic" fare here then is strictly pigs tails, gawdawful schnitzel, and kraut. :p
