    Hello,

    Did ESET stop the virus?

Regarding the settings. As per Marcos, "Default settings provide best balance between protection and performance".

    Hello flateric1975,

Default settings are recommended for the typical computer user. Since setups and usage varies from machine to machine, we would need to know more information to determine what could be best for you.

As far as back up protection, using a second antivirus is okay as long as the real-time protection on it is TURNED OFF. We stress turned off because, simply described, antivirus products compete and conflict with each other when running at the same time. You can use a separate antivirus to run a manual scan once a month or so to make sure that your machine is clean. There is not an antivirus product that protects against 100% of threats.

I hope that this answered your questions.

    Thank you,
    Richard

Thank you for your replies all of you and yes you answered my questions

Am happy with ESET on its own

You have to be careful yourself not just allow on software i agree it not possiable to 100% block everything they get cleaver every day dont they.

I just wish those who make virus etc use their skills to better use.

Instead of making pc`s unwell and play up
