Do I need to uninstall trial version?

I installed the trial version of True Image 11 and it works very well for me. I ordered a paid version from Amazon.

I see conflicting info all over the place (Google searches) about whether the trial version should be uninstalled before the paid version is installed. I could not find an answer on the Acronis site.

I do not want to end up in a situation after installing over the trial version, that the program still thinks it is still a trial version which will expire shortly.

Use the Add/remove Windows option and un-install the trial version.
Your paid version will not work if you leave the trial version installed.

Once you have the serial number from your Amazon purchase, then visit the Acronis site and register your purchase.

If you are new to Acronis, you will have to create a new login. If you are already an existing Acronis customer, you can login into your existing personal page and register your new purchase via recording your serial number. Then you can download the most current copy of your version 11. You do not need to download or install anything from Amazon.

If you are getting the purchase vial the mail, the procedure is unchanged. The purchase from Amazon will not be the most recent version so you will still need to download the most current version from your personal login page. This is also the same login location you would use should you need official from Acronis. The new download from Acronis is what you would use for your first paid version install. Once you have Acronis installed, then create a new updated Rescue CD.
