I'm looking for an excellent DLL-Cleaner for WinXP.

txs for the info, but I am searching for a program that finds and removes unused and orphaned DLL's.

It should be reliable.

Freeware is not absolute necessary, payware is fine too.

Hi, Locate.com should do that. Note I tried installing an ancient version of Office (just to get Access) did not have any luck. Removed office '97. Then I ran locate.com (finds only .dll's), which found orphaned .dll's from Office '97 uninstall. I then copied the list of orphaned .dll's, to another folder, deleted the homeless .dll's & all was/is well.

Nevermind if you've already checked it out & it does not suit your needs.

CamTech's DLL Orphans seems to be exactly what you're looking for.

 

Seems to me a bit dangerous....

Possible not for WinXP

No I don't but I do know that reformat is the key.

Try it , you may like it. Everything gets faster.

Micrososft even recommends it now.

Even though I never will be MVP in their eyes, I am happy they took my suggestion on REFORMAT.

Don't forget to backup or image before you remove any dll's
