When I bought my PC, it says I have 200gig of disk space. When I look int My Computer, it says I have 15 gig in C drive and 175 in D drive. I guess my system is in the C drive. I get this message that I have low disk space. I am not a computer expert and need help in how to allocate more space in my C drive. Or will partioning help. How is that done anyways?

I bought the Acronis True Image and need help to see how it can help me. Can you guys help me out

    Hi, jpepmont

    Welcome to Wilders.

I am guessing as it is a computer that to OS is WinXP. [best to post as much as you can about your System, as it is easer to help]

You should run Disk Cleanup, from this start button try this:-

    Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup.

    Take Care,

    Hello jpepmont,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please note that Acronis True Image 8.0 is a complete backup and disaster recovery solution which allows you to create an image of your entire configuration on a live system. In case of the system crash you will need to restore an image getting the exact copy of the once backed up partition or hard drive, so you will not need to reinstall anything.

In order to increase the size of the system partition C: utilizing the free space of the other partition D: you will need partition management software such as Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0, for example.

Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 allows you to perform almost any partitioning operations and even includes a special Increase Free Space wizard which allows to increase the free space of your system partition.

You can find more information on how to increase the free space of your C: partition using Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 in section 3.2 of Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 User's Guide.

I recommend you to download and install the free trial version of Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 to see how the software works on your computer.

In case you will be satisfied with the work of the trial version, please visit Acronis online store to purchase the full version of the product.

Please also note that we have a flexible system of discounts and the amount of the discount varies depending on the number of copies you want to purchase.

In case you are planning to purchase many copies, please contact our Sales Team at sales@acronis.com.

    Thank you.
