I have a Proliant ML530 G1 server running Windows 2003 with RAID on a 431 controller. The 'C' drive is running out of space, so I purchased Disk Director to resize the partitions without having to do a fresh install. This is a Domain Controller on my network, so I'm very interested in this going smoothly. The install of Disk Director went well enough, but when I tried to resize two partitions- which is a two step operation, the server rebooted like it was supposed to but then just sat there at '0% completed' all night. The server rebooted and recovered, and I then tried using a bootable CD as suggested by Acronis support. The server booted off the CD but then hung on the 'please wait' screen. I ran the Acronis Reporting tool and submitted it to support as requested but I havent' heard back from them in two days. Hoping there's an answer out there. There are dynamic disks on the server, but the disk I am trying to resize is a basic disk.

    Thanks!

Does the Server version have a Safe Mode you could boot into from the cd?

If so, have you tried it?
