Would be interested to know what AV software uses what engine and if so is there any good websites that indicates this ?

Also I've noticed quite a few AV software products use the BitDefender engine and probably eTrust as well, but do any of them use the NOD32 engine ? Which would also be interesting to find out. I'm sure as NOD is an excellent AV product there would be other companies out there tht would use its engine.

No, none of them uses NOD32 engine. I'm not even sure if ESET license it as separate component.

    Products using 3rd party engines...

    KASPERSKY
    F-Secure
    eSafe
    AVK
    Defender Pro

    BITDEFENDER
    AVK

    F-PROT
F-Secure (not sure if they still use it)
    Command Antivirus

    ANTIVIR
    Avira

    RAV
AVK (now replaced by BitDefender Engine)

    DR.WEB
    VirusChaser

    AVAST!
McAfee (years ago, they don't use it anymore, replaced by Dr.Salomon tech)

I belive i missed certain minor products and possibly even engine. But basically this is it.

Can you offer a link which tells that Leprechaun VirusBuster II uses DrWeb engine?

    Best regards,

Data Becker Maximum Protection and Bullguard are using the Bitdefender engine.

I doubt McAfee ever used any outside engine (beside buying Dr.Solomons), this would be very strange indeed.

Stefan, what exactly is with Avira? Are they the same company as H+BEDV just for non german market (like MKS_Vir/ArcaBit example) or completely different company licensing your engine?
