Yeah but how come that some viruses/trojans can disable some Anti-Virus, example it can disable Avast but it can not disable NOD32 ?

It's restful to know that this below is b...t. Look at "loopy2003's" third post in here dated on the 11:th December 2005. (apparently a nasty guy! )

NOD32 cannot update anymore !!! This is a common attack by malware, and it sucks that NOD cannot protect against it.

Again, a lot of folks on the newsgroup rave about its detection capabilities and footprint, but it seems to be missing a lot of self-preservation features that are critical. I haven't even gotten to the detection testing yet.

In contrast when you try to mess with the hosts file for sites like liveupdate.symantec.com on a machine protected by NIS 2006 and you run Liveupdate you will get the message shown in the screenshot above. Clicking "Perform this action" will fix the malicious entries in the hosts file. Dang !! I do like my Norton.
