I uninstalled Spywareblaster 4.1 without disabling protection first in order to install tne new 4.2 version. I realised my mistake and "system restored" to show Spywareblaster 4.1 again in order to disable. Unfortunately although 4.1 appeared again the database had disappeared so I undid the system restore and installed Spywareblaster 4.2 and all seems fine with a full enabled database from 4.2. Did my original mistake upset any other configuration?

    Hi,

    Nope - you're fine. :)

We recommend disabling protection + uninstalling the old version first for completeness.

If you're upgrading from 4.1 to 4.2, doing so isn't necessary. The new installer should take care of everything.

(If upgrading from a 3.x version of SpywareBlaster or earlier, it's recommended because of a number of changes.)

    Best regards,
