I'm hoping someone from Webroot can tell us the "real" difference between SecureAnywhere Essentials and Complete. My pocketbook likes the price of Essentials a LOT more than the price of Complete, so what are we really getting with our money?;)

Thanks Dermot7 for the quick response. Yes, I have seen the comparison chart before. Complete says it 'Provides advanced protection for online shopping and banking' and Essentials doesn't. What is this "advanced protection" and how does it worko_O?

It's just because the Complete version has a Password Manager and Essentials doesn't but your online protection on shopping sites that are HTTPS are very secure with the Essentials version also as they both have Identity Shield! My self I use the Essentials version as I don't need a password manager and I don't need protection for my cell phone! As there is a special going on for the Essentials Version at this time! http://www.webroot.com/En_US/consumer-products-secureanywhere-essentials.html

Wow, you guys are QUICK! Thanks for the prompt information, and now, finally, I know I can save some money because I don't need/want a password mananger or cell phone protection.

BTW, Sam's Club is selling the 3-user version of WAS Essentials for $40 but you have to pay sales tax, so the online deal IS a good one...

:D Yeah, but WSA is faster, and very light and very secure, and now beginning
to prove its reliability and performance in tests etc. And I believe it can only improve :)
Why not give it a trial spin, and let us know what you think?

You also receive 10GB of storage with Complete instead of 2GB with Essentials :)

As a Closed Beta tester/user of Essentials, I don't see where I have 2GB of storage. Am I missing something? ;)

Per my signature I am running WSA AV so would I be able to take advantage of this special? What would be my additional cost?

AFAIK you don't get any storage with the beta, only with the paid version.

This error in the comparison chart on the website has been there ever since WSA was released. IMO it's about time Webroot fix this and correct the website; they could be putting off potential customers by understating Essentials' capabilities in this way.

woke up this morning and bought Essentials for 15 months off of Amazon, a very good deal.

So now I am a paying customer which means I need to assist, not resist.:thumb:

Mine pointed to the North American site as the user was from there! I really don't look at all world wide sites but shop around! ;)

Sorry Mongol it doesn't look like you can upgrade but there will other specials through out the year! Or you can get this version of WSA-E at the lower cost!

yeah you do since wsa has outbound protection only........my xp firewall nicely fits with wsa protecting inbound connections while wsa protects outgoing for example......

Yes I would recommend Windows Firewall as well with WSA! ;)
