    Maybe less "discovery on the fly" , but way safer. You won't end up in a remote isolated location where a homestay was supposed to be but is gone since last time someone told you about it.

    This is actually what I prefer, I don't like "unexpected" things. But I try not to read too much information about sight seeing's. BTW, I prefer to book directly via hotels and airlines, I try to avoid companies like bookings.com and Expedia, often they are more expensive and I find their websites to be confusing at times.
