Hey,

I read some of your solutions to the browser hijacks...SIMPLY GREATWORK..
My new laptop browser is hijacked...
i have run already the Adware and Spybot as per your forum insructions...in the third step i am sending you my log...

Then download and run CWShredder
Use the Fix button and follow the instructions provided by the program.

Then reboot into safe mode and delete:

I hope you haven't paid for SpyHunter yet, because I would advise to uninstall it and use one or both of the programs mentioned here: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=15913

Genius!!! "You Are"....

It worked the way you suggested...Thanks for that.
and also i did not buy the Spyhunter, just downloaded that(now uninstalled)

and one more thing i see is: In the process when i deleted the files in the safe mode and rebooted the system, it pops up a system window..
"Ending Program - Sample" and the system cannot end it anyway, so i have to click the 'EndProgram" forcefully.
This is only seen after this Hijack.

Please let me know if this is a concern....

Yes Pieter,

The "End Program - Sample" still comes if i restart, but ony in the SAFE MODE. it does not show the same popup when i reboot in the NORMAL MODE.

Got it.

Check the following item in HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Win Server Updt] C:\WINDOWS\wupdt.exe

Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
C:\WINDOWS\wupdt.exe <= This is not the real thing

Thanks for a fast reply..
I have seen the same popup window, when i deleted the wupdt.exe file in the safe mode and comming out.
