Just installed Vista Ultimate and running NOD32 2.70.39.

I am not planning to install any other third-party resident antispyware or firewall program.

In XP I had the Windows Firewall turned off and ran SuperAntiSpyware periodically. Never used Defender because it didn't have a great reputation.

Do people recommend leaving MS Defender and Windows Firewall running in Vista or is NOD enough?

I disable Defender and I would disable Windows Firewall only if you have a 3rd party firewall or router.
