Today we have a long, thorough, detailed review of Deepin 15.4, a Chinese Debian-based distribution, covering live session, installation in a dual-boot setup, and post-install use, including numerous initial boot problems, look & feel, networking - Wireless connectivity, Bluetooth, Samba sharing, Samba and Wireless printing, smartphone support - Ubuntu Phone and Windows Phone, partitions and slideshow, Deepin Store and updates, applications, multimedia playback - MP3 and HD video, hardware support, proprietary drivers, Nvidia, resource utilization, performance, responsiveness, suspend & resume, stability, usability and consistency considerations, system settings, many cool and unique features, various problems and visual niggles, and more. Have fun.

Its in Debian Unstable, so it gets regular updates.

For people who like Ubuntu, the closest thing to that in Debian is Siduction, a German Debian Unstable based distro.

Debian Stable is like LTS and never gets new features or updates to software unless you use the backports.

I installed Deepin 15.6 on an older HP laptop and I am fairly impressed but having a display issue: After boot, the Deepin display is so dim it is hard to read; if I Suspend and Resume, the display comes back to full brightness. Any one else having a similar issue?
