Expert may leave no doubt that evidence was not fabricated by deepfake technology.
Experts have no effect on people that are not convinced by facts. I'm not trying to be difficult here, but if experts giving facts solved problems than there would be no arguments about... well... anything. Think of any controversial subject that I can't name here without getting this post deleted. Exactly.
I used to worry that deepfakes represented a serious threat, but now they seem almost irrelevant since so many people are willing to believe utter fictions without the slightest evidence. Still, it's important to have the technology to detect faked videos.
