Some people say that Avira free gets updates later and not so often as Avira Pro. Is this true? Does this mean that when considering using Avira free it is useless to look at test performed for Avira Pro? Does it also mean that one should not use Avira free but some other free antivirus, e.g. Avast free?

i have some doubts...i believe that the cloud backup kicks in faster in their pro version....in the free version there is almost no behavior mechanism visible
I've read/seen that too @MalwareHub, avira free is always infected, so its weaker than Pro. One off the best free alternatives ; Windows Defender (configureDefender tweaktool) Kaspersky Security Cloud free , Avast/AVG with Hardened mode (but lots of telemetry)
