I recently deleted a folder from inside a 256 bit AES encrypted container (Dekart Private Disk). Is it possible to recover the deleted data? I've tried a few different data recovery apps but they either don't recognise the open container or find no deleted data. Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks.

If the volume is mounted it should act as any drive. Try running PhotoRec or Recouvra over it and see if it finds anything (both are very good tools). That said after dismounting it the software MAY zero out the remaining space auto-matically. I would try anyways because you never know. If above tools don't work try helix live CD. First mount the encrypted drive (in linux if possible) and use the forensics tools on it.

    Good luck:thumb:
