Cyscon Firefox extension

    another mayflay...
    - maybe changing to webextension
    - maybe permanent broken due firefox changes
    - too much more successful competitors on this sector

    who knows, i dont care - i already had that discussion with cyscon

    I had noticed since about February the extension was no longer connecting to something dot cycson dot com for the cloud lookups but to a generic IP address named share on a Web service, the name of which I don't remember. (EDIT: see following post #57.) Phishkiller dot com was down, too. Still is. (EDIT: as is c-sirt dot org, another cloud service used by the extension.)

    Early April I checked their Mozilla Add-ons page and some one else had posted up similar observations to which Cycson replied they were under heavy DDoS attack, a fix is in the works and to "keep an eye out" for it. Kinda wish I took a screen shot.

    cyscon dot de seems to be in a bit of trouble, too. At least the English page for me in my location takes several minutes to render.

    With BDIS and Adguard I was wondering if the extension was of value anyway. I guess I got the answer to that.
