Cyclic backup strangeness

I'm using the paid for version of Backup and Recovery 10 Home with Windows 7 64 bit.

I have set up a cyclic backup for drive C which runs at 2:15am. PC is set to wake itself at 2am.

Drive C is on a 1TB drive and is one of four partitions on that drive.

If the PC is swtiched off then after the PC boots itself at 2am the cyclic backup runs without problem and the PC shuts down after the backup is completed. No problemo.

If the PC is left on overnight then the cyclic backup still runs at the correct time, however in this case it tried to backup the whole 1TB drive not just the Drive C partition.

Why would this happen?

I have checked the windows task sheduler and I can't see any paragon originated tasks other then my backup task. There appears to be only one user defined script in the pragon scripts directory.
