Ah, but that's not what I said. I said "without needing another program installed". ;)

Well I don't need to install a separate update manager to update Firefox.

I'm fine without Cyberfox's update manager, but if you like to use it, that's great. I don't want or need it.

    Cheers!

Hmmm. Not worth the effort. I don't recall ever needing to copy a tab URL.

I'll wait to see what's up in 48.0.2 if that shows up.

Otherwise, kudos to 8pecstudios for staying the course.

BTW, thanks for posting up the changelog for 48.0.

I had in mind to do it, but it scared the heck out of me. :D

While its not supported on XP, you can at least see if the x86 version will run. Ditto for x64 on x64 XP.

hayc59, in case you haven't tried it yet, the installer doesn't run in XP.

    Oh well.

If its any consolation, Mozilla stopped supporting Mac OSX PPC with the last official version - FF 3.

The TenFourFox project has brought the venerable browser up to ESR 38.

XP users might want to look into creating a Mozilla fork but then its much easier to upgrade to Windows 7.

Cyberfox 48.0.2 is released but the release notes aren't worth mentioning.

If you need an x64 ESR browser - go with Waterfox.

Cyberfox is a rapid release browser like the rolling Mozilla branch its based on.

Anyone else having Cyberfox report it's version as 48 even though 49 was installed on top?

49 broke my logins. All my saved stuff appear in the settings, I'm prompted for the master but fields are not populated. :'(

    Back to 48.0.2.

Discovered the problem, update notice redirected to the 32 bit download instead of the 64 bit, and I didn't notice this system was 64 bit so I installed the 32 bit version, which means the 64 bit version was still at v48. :argh:
