I've been reading about the locked files and think I understand that this is not a problem.
But I do want to check on what just happened.
About a week ago I had a problem with the Winsock that refused to be repaired. So After about 5 different attempts using different methods,, I just did a clean install of XP Pro.
Today I downloaded NOD32, 2.70.16 and set it up per Blackspears instructions from 2005.
I expected to see most of my files locked.
But what I'm looking at is every single file, including Firefox's profiles, is locked.
I just scanned 65.930 locked files and did not find any open files to scan.
Is this OK or do I have a problem.
    Thanks,
    jrspie

Please post a screenshot, as 65,930 locked files simply doesn't make sense.

    Cheers :D

I did not state it properly, Blackspear.
Of the 65000+ files, nothing shows in the logs other than maybe a hundred or more locked files, including FF's profile.
    That's why I'm curious.
    Thanks,
    jrspie

Open up nod32, click the "Setup" tab. Put a check in "List all files" ;)

The answer about [4] locked files can be seen HERE

    Cheers :D
