    * More engines (better detection)

Please make the offline database an option. I don't want to download/or update signatures.

    Keep up the good work.:thumb:

    Hi Kardo
Everything is normal. ( with Russia )

There is one bug with an option: Shell integration
    I reported earlier.
If users play with inclusion and shutdown.
The inscription vanishes in a context menu.
    Also
I think there are any problems with Framework 4
    Regards.

    Hi Kardo,
I started to use CS yesterday and it is impressive and light.
A couple of things puzzle me though, I see multiple events of the same file in overview is this the way it's meant to be or a bug ?
Plus I have some small .exe files which came from Gibson research used to verify certain System states such as 'Leak test' and they are being flagged by CS as unsafe, when I allow them, the classification does not change, that is they remain 'unsafe'.
The whitelist is also not remembered is this normal ?
    Thanks

My company does not allow ANY software that makes use of .Net. I do not know why.

    Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. :thumb:

Hmm.. If a file is added to the white list then it is a bug.

Yes, it will remain the same.

    It is not normal.

    Regards,
    Kardo

Thanks for making this nice application! ;)

    Few suggestions:
    1. Change the tray icon when the protection is disabled
    2. Use less CPU cicles, when is in Malware Mode (already talked by email ;))
    3. Remember the size of the grids

    Hi,

Some good news for everyone. :)

With next version of Crystal Security, .NET Framework 4 is not required anymore.
.NET Framework 3.5 will be required for next version of Crystal Security.

.NET Framework 3.5 is included with Windows 7.

    Regards,
    Kardo

    Hello Kardo,
I've been trying build .80, and I'm very impressed! Just a couple of questions and suggestions.
    1. Is there any User Manual?
    2. How can one report FPs?
    3. As said above, it doesn't seem to remember whitelisting?

I would suggest that some of the wording on the interface is made bigger (Especially Crystal Security), as it's too small imo.

I'll keep testing, and report back if I find something...
    Many thanks, Dermot.

I decided do a personal test of it today against some malware exe and links. I think crystal security needs more work to make it a effective program. I had also checked the option to show a pop-up for safe apps to also, along with setting zero for safe and 2 instead of default 5 for unsafe and leaving 1 for unknown. Overall optimized it to highest setting to see if any malwares are considered safe or not. From 10 malware exes I downloaded on 2 were warned during the download and blacklisted and also one was picked during running the 8 exes and chose to remove. So in all 3 out of the 10 were warned and blocked. So it still needs lots of work for the proactive engine to reach to a level like those of secureaplus, vodooshield, etc..

Also I ran the scanner and it did not pickup those 7 remaining malwares exe on the desktop. By the way all the 10 malwares had multi-detection on virustotal.

My system is windows 7 ultimate 64bit with time freeze only as protection.

    Hi Dermot,

It is nice to see you here again! :)
Thank you for your feedback and suggestions.

    No.. sorry.

You can't do that. Maybe in the future.

    Very strange... I'll investigate it.

    Thank you for your suggestion.

    Thanks! :)

    Regards,
    Kardo
