    Kardo,

Have you tested your software against malware? If not, plzz do so & post the outcome.

I tested your software, both stable & current beta & it doesn't detects many malware that are detected at VT & also at times it fails to quarantine the malware i.e you click quarantine on the popup & the malware process is still active.

I have tested your software quite a few times & sorry to say but to me it seems like alpha version (both stable & current beta) i.e detection, quarantine, etc... doesn't works properly tested against malware.

Plzz test yourself against malware & post the outcome.

I tested your software against malware on real system i.e no VMWare, on XP SP3 32 Bits.

Okay, something weird happened about an hour ago. I recently had Win 7 64 bit Sp1 installed on this laptop, and 2 more Gigs of Ram - 4 gigs total.

It's a clean install 2 days ago. I put Crystal Security and Toolwiz Time Freeze on, along with Qihoo 360 IS and Google Chrome. Nothing else.

Today, I had Chrome up and was going to one of my regular sites. Every time I clicked on the bookmark, Chrome shut down. That happened 3 times and then I got a BSOD. The computer went into reboot. When it came back up, Crystal was completely gone. No trace of it anywhere - in program files, start menu, registry or anything. It's as if the computer had restored itself to 3 days ago.

No log files, no nothing available. It's literally as if Crystal Security was never on this computer. I've never run into anything like this before. Any ideas or clues what might have happened. Crystal is the only thing that totally vanished.

No, Toolwiz Time Freeze was not engaged, just installed. What I meant by 'on' was downloaded and installed but neither had been used yet.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your feedback!

    Hmm, strange.

Only uninstall option should remove Crystal Security from computer.

It would be the only reason, Crystal Security is not well known enough for anyone to target it with installation scripts. Perhaps TWTF defaulted on without you knowing.

Nope, it's Win 7. I got a bad install. Every program I put in is removed and I've still had 3 bluescreens a day for the past couple of days. It's preceded by a little box that says Windows has experienced an unrecoverable error and will shut down in one minute.

I'm taking the laptop back tomorrow and have the guy fix it, since I didn't get a disk with the install.

    Good Luck, for the future.

    http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/

Here are the official ISO files for Windows 7. You can burn them to a disk and use the product code on the side of your computer to activate them, they are the official versions.

Excellent, and downloaded a copy. I've got the license so will file this on an external drive for the future. With my track record, I'll probably need it.

Also, the problem seems to have been a base line driver was not installed. I did some looking last night and think I found the problem, so downloaded the driver from Dell, installed it and no trouble since (so far). The computer guy's store is closed until next week. If no trouble, I'll make a guess that I've fixed it.

In the meantime, will try Crystal Security again. It's looking like a very good security solution from what I've been reading.

  17. Something weird here. First thought that signed programs from the same product (Microsoft Office) were not checked, because they 'piggy back' on the first of the products. Happens for Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Strangely Outlook being part of Office is checked.

Windows Media Player is also not checked
