Has anyone tested this program's effectiveness with some of the common nasties (like TDSS rootkit)? I know this forum has a thing against homegrown tests...but come on! There are no professional tests of it and I want to know.

Actually there is no need to send the file personally because I noted
English translation file update in release information.

It is BrollyLSSJ decision to update or not German translation file.

Currently German translation file is not translated - if you like you can help to translate it

when do you plan to update Crystal X?
It's been 3 months now since the latest version was released....

 

A merge of Cristal X and Cristal Security will be great.

By the way could you explain what exactly happens in the cloud? where are our files uploaded ? is it a SSL connection?

I mean I would appreciate if you can explain a little bit how works internally, if you are running other AV's in the cloud or everything is home made...

Hi,

There is plan to integrate all Crystal X features into Crystal Security.

Also in Crystal Security program is connected directly via API to virustotal service and Comodo File Intelligence is connected directly to service.

Other services almost implemented as lookup services (Valkyrie, CAMAS, and NictaTech).
Finally I will add global statistics to website: how many files analyzed by Crystal Security.

If you´d like to use Crystal Security for certain files then user is able to turn off real-time protection anytime.
