Yes, I notice he(Kardo) said that he was having problems with AV scanners detecting his program as malware. But, I sure the AV companies that do, are fallible. ;)

Thanks Tarnak for your comments, I appreciate it very much. I'm still very new with this app and I understand its development is in progress. Its just that my security is a bit too high regarding this wonderful app.

It is up and running now and I have to whitelist 64 applications which are up to now unknown, but I know for sure they are legit apps, some free and some paid products.

I just disabled all protection from avg, downloaded crystal security, excluded crystal from resident shield, enabled all protection again and its running fine.

Although I still got a warning from Windows if I want to run the product when I boot up in windows, so no AV product blocking it but Windows itself questioning if I am sure to run it.

Anyway, I think it is a great product and it is just a few minor nags from AV or windows

    Just one more comment. :)
I've enabled automatic startup for crystal security and windows blocks the run, well not actually block it but I've to confirm the execution.

I login into windows as admin, always. I feel very confident about that. I've disabled running of cmd.exe (which I can enable very quickly if I need to use it), cscript.exe, wscript.exe and on demand I block regedit in all locations and blocked various mmc components (mmc.exe, gpedit.msc, etcetera.)

Anyway, I have UAC also disabled. anyway, it is because crystal security is not signed that causes windows to question it. I don't have real problem with it, its just I have to manually allow it to run when it wants to automatically start.
    I've included some attachments (screenshots).

I see you are at an advantage because you are having UAC, which means Vista or Win7. I am still on XP.;)

yes, I forgot to mention which windows version I have  . my OS is Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.

Indeed, but UAC can sometimes be very irritating, at least for me. especially when you use cleaning tools (browser cache and various other things like MRU) then UAC will prompt you everytime (when set at maximum level, which is the best setting to be honest).

People often question the fact to login as admin, but I've never been infected (yet) and I'm very careful what I'm doing and if I'm not sure I enable shadow defender or I run vmware workstation with windows 7 or linux and browse from within there and test files if they are malicious and such.

Also I make full system backups with trueimage.

I like windows 7 64-bit alot, but I think I'll stick with 7 till 2019, or when windows 9 comes along, whatever comes first. :D

I think I will go with that version of windows in my next custom build, but it is over AU$450, which is too much. ;)

    Hello,

Hmm... maybe you downloaded version 2.4.0.20? I ask this because v2.4.0.20 version is detected by several scanners as malicious via VirusTotal.

If you downloaded v2.4.0.21 version and still got warning from AVG then it is weird,
because i scanned yesterday and today Crystal Security v2.4.0.21 Beta version via VirusTotal.com and both results - 100% clean. No detections.

    Regards,
    Kardo

    Hello,

System Checkup module (detection rate and false positives) will be improved with newer versions. I also plan to add Heuristic detection to improve zero-day malware detection.

    Regards,
    Kardo

    Hello,

If you like to hold UAC on MAX or just ON, and also want that Crystal Security start automatically without confirmation on every startup - then try to uncheck 'Always ask before opening this file' option on Windows Security Warning prompt about file opening.

On my Windows 7 UAC is on and program start automatically without any prompt on every startup.

    Regards,
    Kardo

    Hello,

    Thank you for your feedback!

Hmm...Now i have to contact with Kaspersky Lab about this false positive. Seems like they classify even new updates as malicious (without actually checking it).

    Regards,
    Kardo
