    Hello,

    Some information about updating bug:

Actually there is no bug in program, bug was in cloud update.

What I just discovered is that i recently used PSPad Editor for some reason.
PSPad renamed default text file extension from .txt to .TXT. When i released update then version info file extension was also .TXT (instead of .txt).

I uninstalled PSPad Editor and deleted .TXT file from registry, rebooted and all working fine now. text file extension is now again .txt.

I updated version info files in cloud and tested again v2.4.0.15 version - Crystal Security updated correctly automatically :)

Finally, when i release new update - then Crystal Security should update itself automatically (if set update to automatic under settings).

Briefly: Updating issue was related with wrong extension.

    Regards,
    Kardo

    Hi Kardo,

See my recent posts, just a short time ago, in the AppGuard thread.

I am unable to test your latest version of your software, at the moment, until I can uninstall AppGuard. But, it shouldn't be too long, I hope.

    Edit: shot > short

After Appguard was uninstalled successfully, and then getting an update to Zemana AntiLogger, and then rebooting, it has auto updated to v2.4.0.18 beta. :)

Well I tried it on my win 7 ultimate 64bit and crystal security crashed and would not run or open. It installed fine and also it would not uninstall easily. Had to search for delete leftovers. All i can say that it is very much buggy or incompatible with 64bit win 7.

The latest version updates automatically, just fine.

However, as can be seen the settings, i.e. whitelist/blacklist are not being carried over between versions.

Everytime I try to install this, I get this error "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the applicattion." nvm, figured out it was a framework problem...

    Hello,

I have good news for everyone:

Crystal Security program stay free for everyone, this mean that there is no Pro version, but just Crystal Security program.

I will update Crystal Security frequently and add new features like anti-executable, heuristic analysis and so on.

Also, Crystal Security program is added to Softpedia: -http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/Crystal-Security.shtml

And review of our program is available too by Addictivetips website from here:

    Regards,

Oh wow, staying free? That's very cool. I haven't really followed this program that much. What is it, an anti-executable, HIPS, or what?

    Hello,

Yes, staying free for everyone (also for businesses).

Crystal Security is cloud based anti-malware with HIPS behavior.
Soon i will add Anti-Executable behavior into program.

    Regards,
    Kardo

    Hello,

    Next is for everyone:

I just found that my program is detected by 7 scanners for this time as infected executable file, 12 hours ago it was 5. I don´t know how this can be possible. Softpedia also tested Crystal Security and granted 100% clean award.

I hope that you Wilders can help me with these detections to report Crystal Security as false positive.

One possible thing is that someone (hacker etc...) modified executable and uploaded then to VirusTotal to show my program as malware.

    Regards,
    Kardo

Well I'm thinking of going AV free, and this could be a good supplement to AppGuard. Are there any known conflicts? How good is its detection from someone who has used it for a while?

EDIT: Tried it briefly. Had to add it to AppGuard's Power Apps; I was getting a lot of blocked logs. Also, it seemed stuck at 1% for the checkup. I also suggest Checkup be given a button on the main page of the GUI, not under Manage. Lastly, I tried to delete it and it said it is open in another program, but no process is running?
