    Hi Kardo,

I have tried Special version - Edition 1, and sent you an e-mail. Did you get it?

I then tried Special version - Edition 2, which was unsuccessful, as per the screenshot:

    ScreenShot_Kad_CrystalSecurity_SpecialEdition2_01.jpg

Now, I only have Special version - Edition 3 to go, which should be done in the next few hours.

    Hi,

    @ Tarnak:

Thank you for the feedback! Yes i got your email ;) - Thanks :thumb:

If 1st SPECIAL version worked then i believe that 3rd will not work, but you may try ii because it is a little bit different. The problem is related with getting processes step. In earlier version it was a little bit different way to get system processes and then it worked for you. I changed it to get it work for 64-bit system. Now on Windows 7 32-bit/64-bit system 2.4.0.7 version working well but not on Windows XP as i can see.

I will add process getting way from earlier version to next version of Crystal Security. Then it should work again on your system too. (I will make then another SPECIAL version for you).

Waiting feedback about 3rd Special version results.

PS. Take your time to sleep ;)

    Regards,
    Kardo

    I will. ;)

    The good news...

It seems the Checkup is working correctly, now. :)

    ...but, the not so good.

The drop down menu does not work correctly, in that you cannot get to 'Block object' and 'Deny Execution' options. Also, clicking on the 'Apply Rule' takes numerous clicks before responding.

However, since I have 2 keyboards connected, wireless(USB) and PS/2. So, clicking once with the cordless mouse, then pressing 'Enter' on the PS/2 keyboard gets around the problem of the numerous clicks.

At present I have 3 files here still from 2.4.0.9...

    ScreenShot_KAD_CrystalSecurity_remove_Updater.exe.jpg

Does this mean I no longer need the updater. exe in that location?

Re: Kristal Security 2012 [0.0.1.x Beta]

    Hi,

2.4.0.9 still needs Updater.exe. When you update to version 2.4.0.10 then Updater.exe will be removed after update from 2.4.0.9 to 2.4.0.10.

PS. If after update to 2.4.0.10 Updater.exe still exists then you can remove it manually also.

If you download Crystal Security version 2.4.0.10 via web link then downloaded zip file include only 2 files.

    Hope you got answer.

    Kardo

I figured it out. I knew I was on the right track when I got the following popup, which was new. ;)

    ScreenShot_Kad_CrystalSecurity_v2.4.0.10beta_01.jpg

    Then, after the reboot...

    ScreenShot_Kad_CrystalSecurity_v2.4.0.10beta_03.jpg

    ScreenShot_Kad_CrystalSecurity_v2.4.0.10beta_04.jpg

Notice all the alerts I had to click on 'Apply Rule' during the the System Checkup scan. I should be able whitelist these, hopefully, soon.
