ControlUWP – Windows 10 Settings app where everything is in place

Here is another small experimental project of mine, maybe more concept than app which I hope to expand soon. I work a lot with PowerShell and also like to automate. I have now packed some of my scripts into a GUI named ControlUWP and the result is a new Windows 10 Settings app concept.

It’s also not a secret that the Windows 10 Settings app is not everyone’s cup of tea.

ControlUWP app doesn't replace the native Windows 10 settings panel but bundles the most important locations and recommended settings in one place and you can open and execute them in bulk. It is completely modular and based on PowerShell scripts. Everybody can map his favorite settings as he wants.

ControlUWP is a new program for Microsoft Windows devices to manage and control various Windows 10 settings.

ControlUWP looks and feels very similar to the developer's other applications. It uses the same underlying technology powered by PowerShell scripts to provide its functionality.
Interested users may download the latest version of the program from the GitHub project website. Once downloaded and extracted, it needs to be started with elevated rights.

The interface uses the typical three-column layout that is used in other Builtbybel programs as well.

Closing Words
ControlUWP is a useful program for Windows system administrators who want to make changes to the system quickly. The inclusion of links to system settings pages is useful, but some users might prefer a hide option for these to make the program more accessible. The early version lacks options such as a search to find a tweak quickly. It is an early version on the other hand, and if the developer's other applications are anything to go by, it will surely be updated regularly with new features and options.

I tried it, it's buggy and I don't like the UI and how some of the stuff it's either disable or all or nothing it doesn't give you a choice and I've seen it throw lots of errors in the DOS Command prompt that opens up briefly. Very poorly written and not tested app.

Oh and half of it is shortcuts to things you can access easily through PC Settings. Like really, I don't need an app to launch my Windows DPI Scaling or battery or Ease of Access settings.

Edit: I just saw your message in the OP saying that this is an experimental project by you. I didn't mean any offense just stating out my opinion perhaps blatantly. Thanks though.

Today I would like to briefly introduce you to a new project of mine called ControlUWP.

This is my version and vision of a Windows 10 Settings app

These words are the most fitting and don't surprise me at all. It's hard to imagine that all this chaos has still not come to an end.

All this disorder has tempted me to at least bring some order to the settings app. After a few weeks of experimentation work (sense and nonsense of such an application) around the app and concept, I decided to continue this project.

In the first step, I have brought together the most important settings in clearly arranged categories. Navigating between the categories is now a lot easier, as the navigation bar in ControlUWP is always visible [...]
However, the first steps have been taken and the project can be tested in a preview version.
