Considering Switching (to a Mac). Hidden OS and Toolwiz Time Freeze? Best practices?

I wonder if

- TrueCrypt (or similar) can do a hidden OS on a Mac with plausible deniability such as on Windows?

- Any alternative or similar software to Toolwiz Time Freeze?

I see many people switch from a PC to a Mac, from an iPhone to Android, etc. People are switching back and forth in all possible combinations between platforms.

For those who switched from a PC to a Mac: how does it serve your security and privacy needs compared to the PC? Pros, cons? I am only interested in the concerns here which might be related to this board.

Any other best practices to consider in setting up and using a Mac?
