confused about update file size

    hello wilders group, :thumb: :thumb:

    my question is i am a registered/paid nod32 user,,,,

    i installed the latest version 2.51.26. i was running it for few days and i had a few windows error bugs, finally tracked it down to a faulty ddr-ram stick :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

    i think the last update version i had b4 uninstall was (1.1567) or (1.1568 ) 5.030mb update size

    reinstalled nod32 from stratch again and it all updated ok but it recieved the latest one 1.1570 think the update fize size was 5.040mb but surely the other updates file sizes where bigger than 10kb o_Oo_O?

    please dont all shout @ me :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

    i was only asking incase something was wrong thats all

    size of updates depends on what is updated - the archive module was updated a few updates ago, that would have been larger than just a definitions update, which tend to be small in the number of kb they consume. When modules update, you get larger update files.

    Yes , it depends on what it is updated and also ESET has special technology for updating . Just make sure that the latest updates are downloaded by it.You can open NOD32 Control Center -> NOD32 System Tools-Information and see if it is this:


    NOD32 antivirus system information
    Virus signature database version: 1.1570 (20060531)
    Dated: 31 May 2006
    Virus signature database build: 7373

    Information on other scanner support parts
    Advanced heuristics module version: 1.030 (20060524)
    Advanced heuristics module build: 1114
    Internet filter version: 1.002 (20040708 )
    Internet filter build: 1013
    Archive support module version: 1.045 (20060524)
    Archive support module build version: 1159

    Information about installed components
    NOD32 for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/x64 - Base
    Version: 2.51.26
    NOD32 for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/x64 - Internet support
    Version: 2.51.26
    NOD32 for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/x64 - Standard component
    Version: 2.51.26



    If it is not that , please reinstall by using

    hi guys thanks for the superfast replys. and thanks for not shouting :-* :-*

    i unistalled and rebooted pc, then deleted the folder from c:\program files,
    then reinstalled nod32,

    the whole update file size was 5.040mb

    is that correct o_O??

    That sounds about right for the updates after installing.
