I am getting increasingly impressed with Twister's behavior blocker (FDDS) abilities. Little by little I have configured TAV for increased aggressiveness. By staging such configs over time, I have kept FPs to a minimum, & am able to determine the probable cause of any increases.

Thus far I have configured as shown below.

I have left the Registry Protection block unchecked because my classical HIPS (Malware Defender) covers that very adequately. As to the check blocks for (1) enabling extended virus definitions, and (2) enabling virus immunity system -- the warning pop-ups made me cautious about activating these two functions. Has anyone used them extensively? If so, any problems?

The "detect packed file" check block seems to be an invitation for a huge number of FPs, so I am totally uninclined to use it. Am I wrong in this attitude?

As always, your on-thread comments will be greatly appreciated.

    Mahalo... bellgamin

"Running light" is questionable as being a primary criterion for assessing the effectiveness of any given AV. For that matter, Notepad will run even lighter than TAV, but it won't provide much protection, wot?

I enabled TAV's capabilities BEYOND default level, in order to increase effectiveness, especially of the FDD component. Accordingly, I asked for the following information concerning further possible enablements...

I remain hopeful that some TAV users will respond to my questions. However, thanks for your comments.
