A court in California has won a landmark action against a marketing firm accused of sending unsolicited or "spam" emails. Attorney General Bill Lockyer brought the case against PW Marketing of Los Angeles County and its owners. They have been fined $2 million dollars or 1.7 million euros. They were charged with sending millions of e-mails advertising "how to" guides on spamming and long lists of e-mail addresses.
