    @Kees

    If you still have this set up as an image or if you can remember:
    What 'Firewall Settings' did you use.
    I will be setting this configuration on a new box soon.

    Thanks in advance :thumb:

    kees , id like some more settings as well , i too would like to know what youve got in your firewall settings and the rest that you havent mentioned , great thread for CIS 6 users , ive gotten it myself as its rock solid as of late , this coming from a previous nod32 owner ;)

  6. This is Kees1958 new nickname

    I recently added a 2nd hand SSD drive, did a clean install and lost my new Wilders Password. I also have the habbit to use a an Alias e-mail account for everything except on-line banking and dutch tax. I ditch my alias every half year (for Spam and Security reasons), so it does not help to ask for a forgotten password. :oops:

    The Comodo firewall in default settings is not a default deny, but huge whitelist allow nearly everything which is not blacklisted.

    To make it an old fashioned tight outbound filter, you need to go into the firewall and max-out the message frequency, delete all application rules and set it to personal rules with a default ask.

    Have not got it on an image anymore (since HDD is not primary disk anymore), sorry for that.

    So my advice, either go the extreme paranoid way or use the firewall on its default AV settings.

    Regards Kees

    Hi Kees,
    Thanks for dropping in and all understood :)
    I will set up with 'custom policy' anyway and as always harden all rules.

    Cheers :thumb:

    I have comodo running nicely here with no problems.Just one question concerning the firewall. If i tick show no popups and block all requests, what exactly is being blocked here.
    Thanks.

    anything that generates an alert will be blocked so it depends on your settings.
