Second fix might help with what I had with CIS's firewall crashing on start up and not even being able to activate. Will upgrade later today and see.

Thank you for the link. I didn't know about Kingsoft nor about that toolbar by Panda. They would be two good additions to the malware fighting arsenal.

Just got my new laptop.. did 3dmark06 results before any security software, with CIS and with CIS & MBAM pro. Results were always the same :)

3dmark is for 3d, it's better if you use PCmark

It also does a CPU benchmark.. generally I think its good way to see how much the security setup slows down the CPU/Gaming performance?

Seems that there will be a local behavior blocker in CIS 6 :thumb:

Take also a look to this interesting post where more or less you can see all the new features of CIS 6

The av is being improve through valkirie that will be release in v6 and probably many other things will be improved like the heuristics...
The av and the firewall d+ teams are different, so they ensure that each part of CIS have been worked in each release.

Let's see how they integrate the behavior blocker on CIS and what is able to do I'm almost sure that is not going to be like the other BB that we know it will be more complex since any dangerous "simple behavior" is already blocked by D+

I agree guest. People are giving opinions on something that is not available yet. I would rather comment when its available for testing.

That's all fine & dandy, but if you have a default profile (which 99.9995% of your userbase will use) that is as leaky as a colander, then it doesn't serve a real purpose eh ?

I would agree lord is on top of stuff at comodo's forum. I also agree that one shouldn't comment unless you know all the facts. It just makes you look like an idiot.
I am looking forward to anything that's added to CIS 6. I'm sure the BB will add another level of security to it. I'm just hoping that it doesn't turn into bloatware with everything that's being added.

I generally cringe any time I see my favorite products adding "new features". I like to use stand-alone apps because I want it dedicated to a specific purpose. As a result it's usually better at that 1 thing than a jack-of-all-trades solution. Usually it's just unwelcome bloat that's overlap with something else I already have in my setup.

I wish they would offer other versions for people that didn't want all that jazz. Like just the Comodo Firewall (no D+), and just Comodo FW & D+ (no sandbox or BB). Because even if you disable the features it's already installed drivers, services & other things that can cause bloat or possible conflicts with other similar apps.
