I would say that both firewalls are more or less equally secure (incoming traffic). Comodo has the upper udge in application control though due to a higher configurability.

edit: btw, norton's application control is not that bad. In it's standard configuration it will automatically decide, but you can configure to manually give a prompt to allow or block something.

Norton has a descent firewall if you configure it correctly. Norton does not have HIPS protection like Comodo so that would account for its low test score with Matousec. It really depends on what your looking for.

Is there a COMODO Firewall ONLY for free?

Does it have 2 way protection?

And does it protect my Laptop from being hacked when I have Wireless and Bluetooth turned ON in my Laptop?

Is this the one I should get?

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_comodo/

Is that a firewall? Or does it also have AV which I don't want.

    Thank you.

Comodo is a full-flaged firewall. That version of comodo firewall is backdated. You have to download the internet security and during install just leave out installation of AV and Toolbar.

    What you mean backdated?

And where should I download the latest COMODO firewall?

    From here?

    http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/free-download.html

    OR this one?

    http://www.comodo.com/home/internet-security/firewall.php

What's the difference between those 2 versions?

And where is the internet security version you referred to downloaded from?

Both links lead to same download link, the internet security installer. You should download from there.

I removed COMODO and now using ZA free!

COMODO doesn't "remember" portable truecrypt partitions so every single time I loaded Vista I had to go through the same tedious thing to allow everything permission to run from the mounted TrueCrypt apparition :(

Goo job, Comodo is truely somewhat difficult and there are good if not better alternatives. ZA too has a strong heuristics. But for me it sometimes forget the rules and I have to configure them again.
