Sure D+ is a pain, but it makes you think about what files belong on your computer and what files do not.

Leaving aside my personal opinion, in a threat about "TC" that was posted in Wilder's too, Melih (Comodo's admin), admitted that in their plans is also to change the way the pending files are handled. I think this is a rather direct admission that pending files ARE a problem for a good amount of users. Also by reading Comodo's forum, i think it is clear that most people like Comodo and would only like to see the pending files to disappear. I like Comodo too! The first few days i was amazed that they give this for free! I still am. But unfortunately i started trying new software often and had BitDefender's free offer and got tired of pending files.

Still, Comodo remains one of the most secure solutions today for the home user and for FREE!

Why not just hide the Comodo icon, leave it alone to protect you, and forget about pending files? If you need to do anything it will alert you. I think this is more of a psychological problem than an actual problem with the software,

Yes, here we go again. The main feature in Comodo Firewall Pro is the Firewall.

Kerodo, as soon as they implement hashes to use with D+ off, CFP is an awesome stand alone firewall. No leaktest features, pure packet filter and application control. Later on you'll have the option to act like 2.4.
Creating rules a breeze, as tight as you want them just like 2.4, and the rules for applications are no longer that mess in 2.4, they're grouped per application (plus sign to expand). There are other improvements, better resource usage among them imo.

Cause if you do that then one day you will open up Comodo and have 10,000 pending files like this poor lad.

Being a compulsive obsessive security software installer, i have gone 4 days so far with no pending firles using Comodo 3.0, AVG Pro, and BOClean. I think having a firewall/HIPS like Comodo is helping me stay satisfied. (although the new version of Online Armor Free will be very tempting to try when it's released. LOL.) I liked using OA Free with Avast Home, and also ZAAS with ThreatFire, but unless something unseen happens from using CPF 3.0 it will stay on my PC for now.

Pending files are a bit much... everyone seems to agree. However I can see the use of it or at least it's potential. The end result however would be in creating custom rules to tighten things up. As for right now in it's automated mode it has no use for most users and as such doing nothing about it is inconsequential.

I currently have 4322 files... pending... I....cant stop thinking about them either.

    Anyone has any prozac?
