    Hello,

I'm trying to migrate from a PATA disk to a SATA disk, and in a previous thread Kirill Omelchenko indicated that to do so I need to use sysprep.

Could anyone explain to me please what specific steps I must follow in using sysprep? I've read the Microsoft articles regarding the use of sysprep, and frankly I don't understand much.

    Thanks,
    Juan

Had no problem with Dell GX models ie 260 to 280.

    Other machines I did this......

You may be need to add SATA controller to the existing installation first by installing an add in Pci card first with the same SATA chip on it. I added this to a working version then created an updated image.
