Ever since I reformatted my PC I get this error. Not sure why as the hard drive was wiped clean and I started over. Any ideas how I can fix this and why this occurred?

Try resetting your BIOS settings to default values.

    Hi Sir,

I tried this but no joy. Strangely the machine boots but throws up that error. Thinking the HD is toast (6 yrs old). What would be a good replacement HD for a lenovo K210?

Anyone have any ideas? or would it be cheaper to just get another machine?

I might try fdisk /mbr from a windows 98 bootable floppy

or FIXMBR from Windows XP in the Recovery Console,
which is available when you boot from the original XP CD
...sorry I don't know about other Operating systems

The only disc I have is a lenovo recovery CD running vista though. (not an actual vista recovery disk)
