how do i wipe clean the alert log its starting to get relly big
If you're using ZAP 3 (which I believe you are) then go to Alerts and Logs, where there's an option to clear them. Click Main, Advanced, Log Control, and there you'll find "Delete Log".
better still, get VisualZone Report Utility (here at the Wilders Download pages) which will not only manage your ZA logs but also, optionally, submit them to Dshield for action to be taken against intruders. (You have to register for this at Dshield).
