Are there any decent free programs out there that do more things as far as cleaning up your hd than say what clean disk or disdefragment might do in XP? I tried a download/check of my system with PC Pitstop Optimize and it found a few things that could be gotten rid of to free up my system as it is slow. PC Pitstop wanted a register and payment for actually getting rid of the excess non-necessary programs.

    Hello bgfalconboy. :)

As I see Pc Pitstop Optimize is not just a cleaner, but a tweaker also (it has some basic options). It may well be that it asks you to pay in order to enable these tweaks. You don't need to pay for that, all these tweaks could be enabled or disabled manually. As for the cleaning of disk and registry part, I don't believe it does a significant improvement over CCleaner. Use that, you'll be OK. :thumb:

    Cheers.
