    Hi

We use Eudora 7 and ESET Smart Security.

SS has detected an infected email (with KAKworm)and reported it in the scan log file as mail122.eml in a particular mailbox. We have been recomended to manually delete this as SS can apparently mess up the whole mailbox otherwise.

    The ESET log message is

    F:\Datasue\mail\newslett\subscribe.mbx » MBOX » mail122.eml - probably a variant of JS/Kak worm - error while cleaning

Does anyone know how I identify which specific message mail122.eml is in Eudora - it is not message 122 in the list by alpha or date as far as I can determine. It is also not an attachment or other file anywhere.

    Thanks

    Hello rontom,

Since ESET Smart Security in not integrated with Eudora it scans the mail as files. Please contact Qualcomm for support with Eudora.

    Thank you,
    Richard

    Thanks Richard
Quallcom forums say contact ESET about how they are indexing and identifying what they find. How is mail122.eml indexed? It is one of the messages in the particular mailbox. o_O
    Regards
