Does new version cut down on the amount of popups at all?

Lots of bugs right now guys, I would steer-clear for a week or so. D+ Default-Deny does not seem to work at all right now.

Yeah, speaking of bugs, couldn't even get it installed. I thought I would try it out. Installed, rebooted as per the install, sat at the Win 7 welcome screen for 10 minutes. Hard booted, did a system restore, tried again, got past the welcome screen but then as it was trying to load CIS, received errors and then received stop responding messages from Windows as the network connection window was on the screen that I could not respond to.

I would stay away for a while guys...this thing is Alpha if you ask me. Brutal.

Same, List of bugs I have found so far:

1: Right-clicking on a blocked file results in the endless loading-cursor.

2: After looking up an unrecognized file that is then confirmed as safe, and supposedly moved to "Trusted Files", it never is.

3: Defense Default-Deny does not seem to work at all on two separate installations.

4: When the Antivirus is installed, Vista hangs at the welcome screen.

Apart from a system hang when powering down a Virtualbox VM it's been working flawlessly for me here, but I do tend to be very lucky when it comes to running Betas.

Yeah It has a bunch of bugs. Hopefully everyone can find a good many of them. Like noob said it has alot of promise. The languy video showed that even though it didn't find a few of the malware, things were sandboxed and the cloud AV or BB found it. Interesting concept. I hope that they continue to improve the AV and aren't using this as a way of side step it.

Yeah, don't really feel like signing up for another account. If they want to post or read over here, I'll be happy to tell them my issues, but to date all it did was make my system inoperable and it didn't even run. That's pretty sad for a brand new Windows 7 64-bit system with 8GB of RAM and a quad core processor.

I had the same problem after the first reboot, but then I restart the computer again and now is working ok, anyway I think that a similar problem has been already reported.

I did reboot. System sat there, error messages and would not continue. Sorry but anything that does that on my system, doesn't stay on my system. Don't feel like messing around with my system that much at this time. I'll maybe check it out again when it's out of beta.

I had the same login issue.
Right now I'm using just firewall with MSE 2.0 beta.
    Working fine.
Had the same setup before v5 beta with CIS 4.1 , but I'm gonna use this new v5 beta cause of GUI and tray icon :)

    I already uninstalled it
But it was fun while it lasted
I'll try it again when they release a more stable client HAHAHA
I couldn't even copy a Notepad file to my D: HDD because Comodo was blocking it, it was also blocking flash on all my browsers = no Youtube :ouch:

So decided to uninstall it, now, the waiting begins :D :D

Egemen just announced that if anyone wants to try the beta that you install it without the antivirus since so many bugs were found , an update will be issued on monday or tuesday.

Could some one tell me comodo firewall is still "ad-supported"? I tested 4.1 recently and it doesn't seem to have any option to optout.
On that note it also doesn't seem to have option to only install firewall either, seems virus scanner also gets auto installed. Is this still the case with v5?

What you mean by add supported?
According to what i've seen the only thing it asks to install and is likely bloatware is the Ask! Toolbar aside from that i've never seen any ads :D

With the latest version,no Ask nor whatever toolbar is bloated in CIS.And no ads whatsoever. All clean.
What are you talking about?During the install you have the option to untick and to install only the FW (with Defence+ and Sandboxie) or only the AV part.No auto installs whatsoever.Look closely when you install it.

Just checked again with the latest 4.1.15...
    Only options I get are
    Firewall Only
    Firewall with Optimum Proactive defence
    Firewall with Maximum Proactive defence

There isn't any option to select / deselect antivirus.

edit: Just to double check, website says file size is 58,612,168 bytes
Fresh download size it gives me is 58,570,184 bytes
The installer's exe shows ver 4.1.19277.920
