CIS Uninstall trashed internet connectivity

    I did not have to do anything special other that boot into safe mode with networking. I am also using Vista Home SP1. Hope it works for you!!

    I think you might have it here. I will try this first. I noticed the legacy drivers when I was in regedit. As you know these are protected from deleting when using regedit. I try this tonight and post back.

    Hi again

    I booted into Safe mode and uninstalled CIS. When my pc rebooted, I was good to go, my internet connection worked!!! Thank you ffreedom01 for the idea. Also, thank you doktornotor for that tip to get rid of all those security softwares that were inactive. It's great to uninstall all that stuff and my machine feels quicker!

    Clocks, you might want to try uninstalling in safe mode with networking.

    thanks again for everyones help. I get faster responses here than at Comodo.

    This time I used safe mode with networking. Also used Revo uninstaller. I am happy to report success. I will probably be back to CIS soon, but want to try another program first.
