So my full current setup can be found here:

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=2001591&postcount=21351

    The short version:
I use CIS (with AV,FW,D+,Sanbox) + MBAM Pro (real-time & web protection) and wonder if Mamutu Behavior Blocker would be a good addition? So far I don't have a BB in my setup.. but do I really need it? Would it interfere with my other security products?

    Thanks

I don't know if the av has bb.......but as fw/d+ has hips, using a bb like mamutu would not a prob........

There are two suites on the market that I consider to be almost bulletproof: CIS and Emsisoft Internet Security Pack.

If I used one of this I would not bloat with anything else, there really is no need.

CIS will work happily with Mamutu as i have used it but as previous post has stated there is no need as D+ alongside Sandbox in CIS does that job already.
Make sure you have cloud options switched on in D+ as this is the way Mamutu works.

You have IMO a reasonably sufficient defense force of protection given that particular variety you chosen. The approaches used by both malware scanners and behavior blockers can be quite complimentary when thoughtfully applied and not just "piled on" for good measure so-to-speak as i personally been noticed to do once. :)

From my personal experience with Mamutu, as a pure Behavior Blocker (in a league of it's own i might add), it just simply adds another layer of interrupts/intercepts as a precaution as it was designed to do.

The choice is yours as to how many feelers to place ahead of active executables

D+ or Mamutu - not both
CIS AV or MBAM Pro - not both.

as long i dont like Comodo i dont need to point out my preferences ;)
my personal experience with Mamutu - it really slows down.
best option is still limited user account + UAC - and dont use software you dont trust.

Not a good idea to use both two sw, as Defense+ and Mamutu, that work at a deep level of the system; may be that they do not a visible conflict, but you can't know if one interferes or limits the other.

D+ is an HIPS, Mamutu is a Behaviour Blocker, they are not going to interfere but Mamutu is useless if you already have D+. This is why emsisoft does not add Mamutu to OA

With CIS + MBAM and maybe trusteer rapport (configuring it properly), you can be quite well protected. Even only with CIS that is best security suite available (with the proactive preset) could be enough to protect your computer properly

With CIS full blown HIPS i don't really think you need Mamutu.
But at the ends it's really your choice, because personally i run a HIPS + BB set up too (OA + EAM) and i have never experienced problems.

Nah I guess I will wait for CIS 6.0 which should have a BB as far as I know.

I feel save enough with Comodo AV,FW,HIPS,auto-sandbox & MBAM Pro real-time protection.

I only thought about it because of this 1 year free mamutu license ;P

    Thanks

Yes, but I don't konw how Mamutu works; I don't know if it hooks API's or system's processes or someone else that Defense+ hooks too. This I meant.
