It will come with all that good stuff if you just want that firewall:thumb:

In these versions the "jazz" is inevitable. I wish they offered more detailed options for installation.

I do wish they would offer just the firewall and hips like in v5.

    Hi guys,
In version 5.12 I have the possibility to run the firewall as an extra layer of "antivirus" when it comes to execution of files.
Disabling Defence+ (HIPS) and just use the firewall and Execution control (Perform cloud based behavior analysis of unrecognized files).
I guess I can disable the firewall also and still get this function?

    What about in version 6?
I did some testing last night and without the "Behavior blocker" enabled I got no warnings from the cloud scanner. With it enabled the cloud scanner did work again.
In File rating setting all is ticked, but it seems without the Behavior blocker enabled this does not spring into action?

Anyone know if i can use version 6 the way I explained regarding version 5 above?

(Yes, I want to avoid as many popups as possible) :)

    /E

Do you guys think I should upgrade from CIS 5 to CIS 6 ?

Currently I use CIS 5 + MBAM Pro on all my systems.

If I were you, I would wait for next version.
It should improve user interface and fix some bugs.

It also depends on your OS. Windows 8 and CIS6 can be problematic.

    Windows 7 x64

I am also interested in performance differences. And ofcourse which one would be more secure :S

    Any particular aspect of CIS6?
I have had CFW V6 (firewall and Defence+ only) on Windows 8 Pro since December and no issues at all.

With CIS6 Firewall at Custom, FW alerts would lead to system Freeze about 20% of the time. Sadly enough it also afflicted my personal system forcing me to downgrade to something else.

That's not good! Firewall also set at Custom - otherwise, I've configured CFW V6 as per Chirons' guide – perhaps some other software on your system is causing the issue?

Just did a quick check of the Comodo forums. Doesn't look like the new version is actually out yet. May still have to wait a while...

I'd rather see them improving the reliability of the sandbox than putting some make up on the GUI...

Love that they added a summary screen :thumb:

It's about time, one of the my long awaited features.

    Giving it a go now

Are you running the full suite, or still combining it with Avira free?
