There used to be a website that listed all the Chromium builds for Windows. It has disappeared. I finally gave up looking for the "official" site, & downloaded Chromium from Softpedia. I'm okay with using Softpedia, but Chromium comes out with new builds very often & I'm not sure that Softpedia will always have the latest & best build.

REQUEST: If you know the url of a website that continuously enables downloads of Chromium's latest builds for Windows, please let me know!!

That link leads to "Easy" & "Not easy". The easy link goes to a bug-ridden version of Chromium. The "not-so-easy" link is an enigma. Maybe you can get a chromium download from that link. I couldn't, but I am not a computer guru. I think Google has intentionally made it hard to get to Chromium.

That is normal, we are talking about a development channel.

That link will get you to a huge list of folders (for each OS) where you can download any snapshot of the browser that was compiled in the past. Be aware that the folder list download might temporarily freeze Mozilla Firefox.

Why not just download and install the "orginal" Google Chrome Browser from the "official" Google Chrome Website?

Google Chrome automatically updates alleviating any scouring of the Internet for the "latest & best build"

All of the ranting in regards to personal information gathering by Google can be alleviated by simply adjusting the
browser settings to: Enable or Disable respectfully. Besides, there is no such thing as anonymity in todays world.

Furthermore, the Google Chrome Browser is universally compatible with almost every device known to man.

In summation, one can drive ones self into "false paranoia" and breach their own security desperately trying to
remain anonymous on the Web and/or avoiding Google! Both of which are "not-so-easy" to accomplish, if at all.

Google is the king of information in todays world, I trust that sourse over less informed sourses.

Google is not intentionally making it hard to get to Chromium, Google is just an superior developer!

Because it is easier without Chrome. I use Yandex based on Chrome with all the security features, even more, but without tracking. I have to update it manually as well, but it is worth it rather than to use anything from Google, which states in its own EULA, that it can collect user data and do whatever it wants with it. Google already has its own satellite network and in next step it plans to monitor people's health using medical bracelets, which will surely adapt to how people react to ADs. :D

I also think, that trying to achieve too much anonymity like using a proxy is way too much, but enough is enough and Google is pushing it too much. I like personalized ADs, I have google cookies allowed, since I have to, for youtube and its comments, but I would prefer not to. Google is becoming and umbrella corporation.

How can you consider manual updates to be easier than automatic updates?

Any security measure that is out of date poses an security breach for the entity behind it.

The Web Browser is an security measure that stands between the device and the Internet.

The Web Browser blockes Adds, Cookies, unwanted Web Pages, clears cashe files, and so on, according to the users
    configuration preferences.

Google is not the security breach, ones' own self is ones' own security breach.

Note that every individuals daily behavior in todays world is being tracked in more than one way.
The tracking is not the security breach, though it is undesirable to everyone, online and offline.

The security breach nests in the actions projected from any one individual outward into the universe.
Should those actions be negative, then that one individual breaches ones' own security and privacy and becomes the
    focal point for possible investigation.

Here is one "Easy" scenario for safe and secure browsing:
I download and install the Google Chrome Web Browser from the Google Search Engines Home Page
I setup my preferences for privacy and the Web
I install any Plug Ins that I want from the Google Store into the browser
I know the browser will always be up to date and secure
I know the browser is compatable with my computer, my other devices, and the Internet
I enjoy the Web and project positive energy out into the universe yielding peace of mind.

    Alleviated, yes. Fully resolved, no.

Yes, there is. You just have to make a bit of an effort.

Google is the king of advertising, so I wouldn't quite trust it when it comes to technology :)

I'm switching to Chromium as well. Google Chrome has went back and forth about only allowing extensions downloaded from their store. Plus many of the updated releases of Chrome seem to have bugs. I'm sick of Google and their policies. So I am switching back to Chromium for a while.

Well I tried to use the latest version of Chromium and that didn't go well at all. Facebook and most other sites showed up broken. I disabled all my security apps and browser extensions in Chrome and it made no difference.

The latest version of Chromium Portable (37.0.2041.4) was a disaster. Even with a clean install, it just froze and did nothing. The previous version, 37.0.2017.2, works okay for me.

I gave up on Chromium. When you have to be 1337 to get a link, that's it - too stupid for belief. After I gave up on Opera after Opera gave up on Opera I was going to make Chromium my browser but there's too many stupid things about it. So FF it is & I got everything I missed from Opera 12 & b4 from FF Add-ons.

Totally agree. What about Chrome? Don't want Google watching over your shoulder? ;)

Chrome is like fb to me. They keep changing privacy data gathering spying yada yada. I did like Comodo Dragon a bit but I was concerned because it was always 3 or 4 versions behind.

I believe the blog, QFT: "This is the raw build of Chromium for Windows x86, right off the trunk. It may be tremendously buggy.
Consider Chrome Canary or Dev Channel for a build that regularly auto-updates to latest."
It trys to shuffle you off to Chrome too!

Just a little bump, I have got a problem this time. Any idea where to download Chromium Portable?
Download from the official webpage does not work and all the webpages on the internet just link to it.

May i say why not use Chrome with uBlock and uMatrix, these extensions go along way as a counter measure for privacy even against Chrome itself.

Great, after I have finally managed to download it, it refused to open any webpage, so I have switched to Firefox Portable, it is for backups purposes only anyway.
