I've been using https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/watoolkit/fedimamkpgiemhacbdhkkaihgofncola for a while to check when Whatsapp messages arrive. It allowed you to mouse over the icon to see who and a preview, and click the icon to open Whatsapp web. But over the last week it stopped giving a notification of unread messages (number in the icon). I've tried the other Whatsapp extensions but they also aren't notifying. Anybody else seeing this? Any solution? It can still pop-up a desktop notification, but clicking it doesn't open Whatsapp web, it just makes the desktop pop-up disappear. I'm using Kubuntu.
